CPAE® History

The CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame® (Council of Peers Award for Excellence) was established in 1977 by the National Speakers Association (NSA) to recognize professional speakers who have demonstrated exceptional talent, integrity, and influence in the speaking profession. This prestigious lifetime achievement award is given to speakers who excel in five critical categories: message, presentation, experience, professionalism, and collateral material.

Induction into the CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame is considered one of the highest honors in the speaking industry. Each year, a select group of speakers is chosen by their peers to join the elite ranks of CPAE inductees, who represent a wide range of expertise and styles. Fewer than 250 individuals have been inducted since its inception, making it a mark of distinction and excellence in the speaking community.

The CPAE Speaker Hall of Fame continues to celebrate those who inspire, educate, and influence audiences worldwide, leaving a lasting impact on the speaking profession.
