NSA Oregon: Peter Shankman – Neurodiversity as a Superpower (Hybrid)
Neurodiversity as a Superpower: Making Your Message Stick

Every audience is a room of different brains, and the speakers who win are the ones who design for that reality. Drawing on his own experience with ADHD as a six-time bestselling author and entrepreneur, Peter reframes neurodiversity as a genuine edge, not a deficit, and shows fellow speakers how the traits that make focus harder (urgency, intensity, nonlinear thinking) can become tools for building talks that actually stick.
This session gets tactical fast. Peter breaks down why content built only for neurotypical attention spans loses a huge share of any room, then shares the specific craft moves he uses to fix that: short high-contrast bursts, story before data, deliberate repetition, and structuring for how people actually remember, not how we wish they did.
