DESCRIPTION:Story to Stage\nStorytelling has become the skill du-jour\, although it seems speakers tend not to agree on the exact definition of storytelling. In this program\, Trevor will first review the basics of storytelling. He’ll then introduce his Storycrafting framework to guide speakers to build compelling sessions to ensure effective communication and a connection with audiences. \nStagecraft is a skill that all speakers can regularly revisit and polish. Trevor offers some unexpected tips on how to prepare and deliver sessions under any circumstances. \nOur Storywriting break will be used to outline a short story\, then fill in the content as time permits. NSA Oregon chapter members can bring a prepared story\, preferably shorter than 5 minutes\, to work on during Storywriting. \nAfter Storywriting\, some members will present their story to the audience\, and constructive critique will be offered.
