SUMMARY:NSA SoCal: Panel Discussion (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:Getting Real About the Speaking Business\nDifferent paths. Same truth. The stage alone isn’t the business.\nhttps://nsasocal.org/events/february-14-2026/ \nThere are many legitimate ways to build a speaking business. And yet\, so many speakers quietly believe there’s only one “right” path…the one that looks loudest\, fastest\, or most impressive from the outside. \nThis conversation is an invitation to step out of comparison and into clarity. \nIn this session\, you’ll hear from speakers and leaders who have built their businesses in very different ways: through keynotes\, facilitation\, coaching\, academia\, niche expertise\, systems\, visibility\, and long-term partnerships. Some built their work on big stages. Others built it inside organizations\, classrooms\, or communities. All of them found models that actually work for their values\, their energy\, and their lives. \nTogether\, we’ll explore what it really takes to build a speaking business you can sustain\, scale\, and embody without abandoning yourself in the process. \nThis is not a panel about hacks\, hype\, or chasing the next stage. It’s a real conversation about: \n\nHow people actually make money\nWhere speaking fits inside a larger ecosystem\nWhat trade-offs are worth it (and which ones aren’t)\nHow to build something that lasts longer than a season.\n\nIf you’ve ever wondered whether there’s a way to grow your speaking work that feels aligned\, grounded\, and genuinely yours…this conversation is for you. \nCome curious.
