Local Connection:
With NSA, you are never in business alone. Join other speakers in your area for networking, education and comradeship at NSA chapter meetings throughout the country. Each of NSA's 38 chapters has its own personality and offers a variety of programming such as speaker’s schools, mentor programs, showcase presentations and educational meetings. Other chapter activities include holiday parties, networking cruises and events designed to introduce members to other players in the meetings industry.

Chances are you have been to meetings and conferences in the past, but there is nothing like an NSA meeting. From the intimate setting of single-focus Labs to the electricity of NSA’s annual Convention, members and non-members alike return year after year to see old friends, gain inspiration and fill their minds with hundreds of "“ah-ha!" moments and ideas they can implement to be better speakers and business entrepreneurs.
Who goes to NSA meetings? Professional speakers, trainers, consultants, aspiring speakers, meetings industry professionals such as bureau owners, meeting planners and association executives – anyone who wants to enter the world of professional speaking. Certain meetings also have special programming for speaker's staff, partners and youth.
The NSA Convention
The biggest and most exciting event of the year—a true celebration of the speaking profession! Join more than 1,500 speakers for several days of inspiring keynotes, educational breakout sessions, social events, exhibits and a presenter bookstore. There is also special programming for speaker's staff, partners and youth ages 10 to 16.
Educational Workshops
NSA Workshops offer a weekend of nuts-and-bolts educational sessions and top-tier main platform presentations. Enjoy social events and networking in a more relaxed atmosphere.
Single Focus Labs
NSA Labs limit registration so that each attendee gets individual instruction and an intimate networking experience. Each of them focus on one topic for an in-depth exploration not available elsewhere.
NSA University
Advanced education for the speaking professional. Attendees choose a major and a minor focus of study and learn under recognized experts in those areas.
The Cavett Institute
A day of education designed specially for people who are just getting started in the speaking profession.
The International Federation for Professional Speaking
NSA shares resources and networks with speaking organizations in nine major international speaking markets. For people interested in expanding their message globally, the Federation has provided an opportunity for them to connect with colleagues in global markets and enter those markets with greater ease.
