Overview:

The National Speakers Association (NSA) is the leading organization for professional speakers. Since 1973, NSA has provided resources and education designed to advance the skills, integrity and value of its members and speaking profession.

NSA Members:

NSA's thousands of members include experts in a variety of industries and disciplines, who reach audiences as trainers, educators, humorists, motivators, consultants, authors and more. NSA is a member of the International Federation for Professional Speaking (IFFPS), a global network dedicated to advancing the speaking profession worldwide.

Chapters:

NSA has 40 state and regional independently-run NSA chapters throughout the United States. A chapter directory is available at www.nsaspeaker.org.

Certification:

CSP - Certified Speaking Professional

This designation signifies achievement through a proven record of speaking experience; including a minimum number of fee-paid presentations, continuing education credits and consecutive years of professional speaking experience.

Publication:

Speaker Magazine
Trends, issues and perspectives about and for the professional speaking industry. Ten issues of this magazine are produced annually and available in print and digital editions. Speaker subscriptions are a member benefit, but subscriptions are also available to non-members.

NSA is not a speaker bureau and does not recommend specific speakers. NSA does offer a free online speaker search resource, Find a Speaker, as well as information on finding and working with speakers. Please visit nsaspeaker.org for more information.

Interested in a Speaking Career?

NSA’s Academy for Professional Speaking is designed to help emerging speakers get started in the business. Many NSA chapters also offer presentation skills training as well as programming for those interested speaking careers.
